"Fiberglass & Gulls"

I loved this work mainly because of the location it brought me to. My dad sails in his free time. Although I don't like sitting on a boat for several hours just relaxing and rocking slowly with the waves, I've grown an acute attachment to the textures and sounds of his environment. I guess I might've known what I would look for before I even got there. Something else that should be noted is that during the trek out to the docks my environment changed constantly from a grey overcast, to pouring rain and then back again to a calm golden sunset. I try and express these sudden changes in the space and have them affect my angles and rhythm. Earlier I definitely struggled with the pace of this piece and it's audio levels but now after some order swapping and shaving down audio layers of static and car noises I'm pleased with its overall quality. Enjoy!
